Last night wow where do I start. I have the sweetest girlfriend ever. She and I had dinner together along with a few friends, it was a total surprise for me. I arrived at her home expecting a simple dinner out on the town and what I experienced was any thing but low-key.
There were several friends of ours already there, the grill was in full swing on the patio and the aroma of a seasoned steaks filled the air, music was playing on the stereo, little paper lanterns adorned the patio and the entire atmosphere was festive.
The food and wine were soon flowing, everyone chattering to one another the way dear friends do, that wonderful comfort of many different conversations at once and everyone welcome to join any or all of them. Roxie and I ate from one plate we share everything as it were. I am teased at times because we often share a plate like that but we do not mind, that is until there is only one last bite of something then it gets serious lol.
Our friend Adam is a musician and he is an amazing talent, I do not know how it happens but he and I can harmonize well together, oh lets face it he carries me who am I kidding; I do enjoy singing with him , and tonight we sang to Roxie and I was awesome! (not really) but it sounded good lol.
There was an amazing feeling in this group tonight, everyone laughing and enjoying the company of others, it was just what I needed and Roxie knew it even before I did. She even had a present tonight, 2 round trip tickets for us to Barbados; now that is an awesome present indeed, I can not wait to see her in that swim suit again (oh Baby)!
Tonight was awesome, the evening could have lasted well into the dawn but work all of us must, but there is a long weekend coming up in just a few days and we will once again be together,Roxie, myself and our friends. I am so looking forward to spending time with them all again. This time we can laugh, talk, banter, sing you name it well into the wee hours of the morning if we choose.
There is nothing like the love of a wonderful woman and the friendship of those who truly care!
